Year 2002, Cicak King, Dot, Ming and 07 all cramped in Cicak’s hostel room for many games of Halo:) Nice memories of gaming and shouting… Some days, there were so much adrenaline rush that, it took us a few hours to calm down before we could fall asleep. Even in my dream, I was still in the game, being shot at by Cicak with a shotgun, I called this some sort of post traumatic disorder. Unfortunately… impermanence is the rule of life, and we are move on in life.
Recently, I had a teenager patient who spent many weeks in the ward, for bone marrow transplant. He had a XBOX in his room, and I was excited to hear that he had Halo. It has been a long long time since I pick up an XBOX controller, many years since I last have a game of Halo.
After work, I stayed back for a few games with him. When the Halo background music started to play, there was a sense of nostalgia. Recreated my 07 profile, and I was ready for HALO!
We played Slayer on Rat Race. The control is pretty instinctive, I was surprised that I could navigate the map without any problem. Felt like I had the last game only last night. Everything looks familiar, and I instinctively head for the shotgun at the start of the game:) Old habits die hard… I still pick up all the grenades and throw them around (with deadly effects). Obviously I did not forget my signature suicide grenades.
This is such good stress relieve for me, and a break from boring routine in the ward for my young patient. Therapeutic to both doctor and patient:)
Saw this interesting video on this blog…
Ming is happily married.
Cicak King and Dot where are you? I am a bit worried about you DOT. Tried emailing you and have not hear back from you.

Hey JeeroSheven – Dot is fine and Cicak has been molting and setting house in order. Halo 3 was fun, but not like the serious sessions of hours of testosterone in Cicak’s room. Gave you a MCQ in e-mail for you to look at.
One more month to CCST !!
